This last week I have been thinking about how I want to start the new year. I am not one to normally make resolutions, but I came across this 101 in 1001 days idea and I love it. More of a to do list than anything, and I am all about to do lists. I love crossing things off.It took me a few days to come up with this list and I am excited about it, to have all these wants and desires written down and printed and placed throughout my house so I can see them in the appropriate areas. It makes me more hopeful than anything.

Just reading over it, well it is a lot. Some of them I can do in an afternoon, some will take time and money, others are more habit changing. A little bit of everything I suppose, which fits my personality. Bite sized. Specific.
We are heading out tonight to go camping for the holiday weekend and to ring in the new year. No kids, lots of friends, no agenda but games and books and knitting and the like just waiting for me. I.can.not.wait. Today has been rough to say the least because I just want 6pm to come so we can start this much anticipated weekend!
2008 has been a fantastic year for me and mine. Lots of growing and learning and struggling and overcoming and laughing and crying (oh the crying today!(the girls, not me)) and quiet and calm. I can't wait to start the new year. And let it be known, my 2009 is starting with a clean house and all the laundry done and put away (watch out #14, I am going to kick your ass this year).

That is the best list I have ever seen! You make me want to be a better person. I love Ya!
This is such an amazing list! Absolutely inspiring Hannah. Some of this I didn't even know I would want to do until I read it here. Thanks! If there is one person to stick to a list and make sure it happens, it will be you. Can't wait to see all you do.
Finding a laundry system that works is high on my list this year too!
Love the idea of this, and all your idea. Thanks for the inspiration - I may have to join you in coming up with a bunch of new goals. It just might put some wind in my sails.
it was a little jarring to just come from reading amy's post about lists to your tremendous list. but what i love about yours... "A little bit of everything I suppose, which fits my personality. Bite sized. Specific." - your list is 101 amuses-bouche!!
happy new year!!
and? #5... north carolina is a great place to visit!!
That is a long list, but I like it because they are all do-able things, so it's not out of reach. Really inspiring.
What a great list! You go, girl!!
Nice list. I can't even begin to think about creating such a long list. That would take me awhile. I might use it for inspiration for my own though.
Wow, this is a great list! I should try this, though at this point creating the list would be something on my list.
Amie makes great fudge and has the recipe on her food blog, FYI.
I just adore you, Hannah. This list is perfectly you. I sincerely hope you check off a girl's weekend by coming here!
I love so many things about your list! What a great way to make resolutions. I love it so much that I am borrowing your idea and making a 101 list of my own.
Thanks for including me on your list. I will do all I can to be accommodating of that! I definitely want to hang out with you more, and I sincerely hope that the friend you help to move will be me!
I really want to do CERT training, too. Maybe we could do this together?
I agree with Melanie that if anyone makes all these things happen, it will be you. You're amazing!
What a fabulous list and I hope you cross off each and every one.
I really need to do this because there are so many things I want accomplish this year that I know I'll forget about.
When you find a laundry system that works let me know.
ps we really should do that trip to CO.
Hannah - You truly are an inspiration to me... I'll be surprised if you don't complete this list throughout 2009 and in addition add more to it. I am all about creativity and getting those juices flowing - so if you ever need a scrapbooking or cardmaking partner, let me know.
I love your list! You are going to OWN 2009! I am especially excited for you to find 10 meatless meals that you like, so please share. Dave was just diagnosed with high cholesterol, so we have cut red meat to once a week, eating lots of chicken and fish, but I would love to foray into meatless, I have a hard time making things that are filling when they don't have meat. I'm super excited for your camping trip,I wish you and I lived in closer proximity so we could craft together!
I love this post!
I agree with Melanie -- if ever there was a person to make sure it all happens, it would be you. I hope you will keep us apprised of your progress.
This reminded me of my goal to print photos monthly -- I had forgotten! I too want to learn to make macaroons that don't suck...
This is quite a list - inspirational! You really seem like a go-getter and I admire you for wanting to learn so many new things.
The wait list for M.O.W. here is 6+ months so if your town is anything like that your help with volunteering will definitely be wanted!
Those are some great goals Hannah. You can do it!
Hope your trip was fun.
I really like this idea. I'm actually started to love everyone else's lists better than anything I could do...I think I'll just be stealing yours and Erins...and anyone else I can find. :)
