I *think* the last time I made a quesadilla was last Thursday (oh I hope it wasn't longer than that). That is SIX days of this sitting in this drawer in my kitchen where I dare say I spend most of my time. One interesting (to me) thing about being unfocused is that I have a pretty good memory of what led up to this. I remember opening this drawer all the way while looking for the candy thermometer and then the phone rang and it was someone I hadn't talked to in far too long. And then my quesadilla was done so I grabbed a cutting board and plopped it on there to cool and then shut the drawer. I don't know why I didn't notice a missing quesadilla, maybe because it was for me and not a little person who would have asked 72 times where her lunch was? I don't know why I put it in the drawer instead of on the counter. Why an hour later when I was painting downstairs and realized I was hungry that my brain didn't focus in on what I was doing the hour before.
Sigh.
Focus and I have a long way to go.

I loved this! That picture will be a fun Focus reminder for you. So funny!
Oh how funny....I can't wait to read more focus incidents in the future.
hilarious!!! atleast it wasn't something melty or icey.. you could have had a mess on your hands!
This is too funny! I haven't ever gone that long without remembering a quesadilla in a drawer, but I have put milk in the cereal cupboard and the cereal in the fridge before.
That was hilarious! I'm glad you took a photo and documented it. It seems you chose the perfect word (or it chose you).
I love it Hannah! I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one who tends to get a little scatter-brained (or a lot scatter brained in my case!)
Thanks!! I am still laughing!
Now that was funny!
I am laughing! That is so funny! I think you chose a good word for yourself this year, my friend. Thanks for sharing.
That is too funny! Good to see you do silly things to. To me you always seem so put together, so its nice to see that ev1 is unfocused at times!
oh the comic relief! I thought about this last night before bed, and then again this morning. Its so good to know there are others who forget things.
At least it was found before mold and funky smells revealed the location! I forgot about a bag of potatoes in an apartment until the potatoes were rancid and fluid was dripping out of the bad, it was worst smell I ever experienced.
Hannah, you crack me up. I can totally see myself doing this very same thing.
That is way funny! I guess it could have been worse at least it wasn't something that could get really stinky like fish or chicken or something. Focus, and don't forget to take time for yourself even if it's just eating lunch.
Oh, I love this!!! Oh, how you made me giggle...
But I'm giggling WITH you. :)
That is incredibly funny! I am so excited for soccer to start up on Saturday! Can't wait to see you!
I found this to be so funny, I think I've been at work too long!
this is hillarious! jajajajajjajajajaja you made me smile, without even thinking about it. thank you. did you eat it? oh my........oh my!
You and me both Hannah!
This is so totally something I would do. I love you for sharing it!
While I haven't lost a quesadilla in a drawer before, I have lost my focus and it turned out funny later. Thanks for the laugh! Love a post just for your word of the year!
This is hysterical, such a mom of little kids moment!
LOL and then even funnier that you took a picture of it and blogged it! You are fabulous!
Yeah, this is a great example of my state of mind on a typical day!! It's so funny that you didn't realize that you never ate the quesadilla, but I admit I have often done this with toast or something in the microwave and all of the sudden it's beeping and I'm thinking, "What is that?" Great way to document. I love it.
